Many of you whom IM me, know that for close to three months now, I have been praising a god by the name of Xopher. (If you follow Xopher you are known as an Xoperian) This is a religion set up to truly explain how things came to be. Here I will begin unofficially documenting the religion, just as the Christians did with the bible. All are welcome to follow Xopher.
*Important things to note about Xoperianism*
~Xopher is an aquatic being (fish) god
~There is no heaven nor hell in Xoperianism
~The universe was not made by a being, but by a war
~Xopher did not create life, the theory of evolution comes into play here
If you have any questions about the religion, feel free to ask.
Entry One: Explanation after Death
An important concept that religion has always tried to explain is that of life after death. In Xoperianism, after death, the life-fragments of you break apart into small enough pieces that they may finally leave the body. The reason this usually only occurs at death, is that the fragments rely on the constant renewal of all chemicals in the body. This ranges from the amino acids that make up Deoxyribonucleic acid to hormones that cause people to reproduce. Once the fragments are no longer receiving their doses of chemicals, they begin to drastically shrink. Approximately every 10th cell has or had a fragment of life stored into it. (A fragment originally is about 23x10^-17,000,402 of a cell. Their chemical compound is currently unknown.) Upon reaching a certain size, they will begin to slip into the Triphorian Ocean. These fragments don't do this until death because during cell division, they always move into the new cell rather than the old dying one. In the Triphorian ocean, all of that individual's fragments piece together into their inner form. Forms bears represent the highest value of life, whereas a human represent the lowest worth of life. Ranks are not based on how life was lived, but how many times life has been experienced. Truly New Beings are only created when an individual chooses to remain in the ocean, never choosing the reincarnation stream offered to them at the passing of each wave. New forms' shape begins as a fish, but do not remain one for long since they immediately slip into their first life. At the choosing of another life after reaching the peak of forms, you shall receive the privilege of starting over again as a new fish.
*History Lesson about other religion afterlives*
~The Christian heaven and hell were made up to keep the non powerful in line. Rulers such as kings and queens created heaven so that you would think that when you were good and followed the law, they will live in eternal happiness. Hell was made to scare people into thinking that if they were bad, then they would burn and be tortured for eternity.
~In the Egyptian religion, everybody who wasn't in power (a pharaoh,) went to the underworld. This was not considered a bad thing, and they were usually buried with their belongings to take with them to the afterlife. Pharaohs would be judged. Their heart was placed on a scale by Anubis (one of the gods). If the heart was heavy, it was thrown to a dog-like creature. If it was light, the pharaoh became a god.
~The Roman/Greek Mythology religion believed in an underworld ruled by Hades. Once again, this was not considered a bad thing, eventually all came to here, only the gods were in Olympus. People usually didn't mind the underworld, but sometimes made a deal with a god or the fates to escape death for a bit. The souls were all in a river in the underworld, and your life was controlled by the gray sisters. (also known as the sisters of fate.) The sisters controlled the threads of life, and cut them with their sheers when your time was up. A god's thread was supposed to be made of gold.
